About Us

Based at Brakpan Airfield just outside of Johannesburg, South Africa, we are a living museum run by aviation enthusiasts dedicated to keeping the memory of the Alouette alive in South Africa. Operating since 2010, our collection has grown to two Alouette IIIs and one Lama, with a further Lama and an Alouette II in the process of being restored to their former glory. Our hope is to give all our fellow enthusiasts the opportunity to experience these incredible machines first hand.

Activities

Airshows

We regular fly into any manner of airshow in and around Gauteng, where our helicopters can be put on static display for all our fellow enthusiasts to enjoy. Please contact us to find out what airshows we intend on attending in the near future.

fly-ins

As with the airshows, we regularly attend local fly-ins to airfields all around Gauteng - we cherish the opportunity to bring the joy of these machines to all that we can (and even take some along for the ride too!).

charity events

We regularly attend charity events that allow flying enthusiasts to get off the ground - whether it is child’s very first time, or a military veteran reliving their glory days. We love the opportunity to bring the joy to people’s lives.

bringing the joy of aviation to others

As red-blooded aviation enthusiasts, we know the immense joy that it brings to us, and we love every opportunity to bring it to others so that the spark may just be ignited (or re-ignited) in them. It is for this reason that we participate in the annual Elder’s and Children’s flights - charity flights intended to introduce children to their first ever experience of the skies, and to give the elderly an opportunity to take to the skies once more.
